El Campello

District by district, south to north, then inland

The town hall’s street register divides El Campello into six districts, and so does this list. The tram stops are given because the line follows the whole coast, and a stop name is something both of us can find in the dark.

  1. Mutxavista

Muchavista beach · Fabraquer · La Cenia · Benimagrell · Villa Marco · Salesians

Apartment blocks along 3.3 km of beach, with residenciales, bungalows and detached houses on the streets behind. The French Lycée campus is at Villa Marco.

TRAM: Muchavista, Les Llances, Fabraquer, Salesians

The beach runs straight into Playa de San Juan with no visible join. If you are not sure which side of the boundary you are on, give the nearest tram stop.

  2. Carrer la Mar and the port

Carrer la Mar · Clot de l’Illot · the port · La Illeta

The old fishermen’s quarter: ground-floor houses whose doors open onto the streets behind the promenade, then the port, the fish market and the Illeta tower.

    TRAM: Pla Barraques, El Campello

The promenade is for walking. Tell us which street behind it the van can reach, and which door is yours.

  3. Pueblo

the town centre · Plaça de la Constitució · around the church and the town hall

Older town-centre blocks and houses around the church and the town hall.

    TRAM: El Campello

Narrow streets and little parking. A building name or the shop below your door helps more than a number.

  4. Centro

La Creu · El Vincle · Colonia Trinidad · San Ramón

Neighbourhoods on the far side of the old N-332 (now the Travesía San Ramón), climbing towards the Busot road.

Say whether you are on the Travesía itself or up the Busot road, the CV-777: that is the first thing worth knowing.

  5. Norte

    Pueblo Español · L’Almadrava · Els Banyets · Alkabir · L’Amerador · Coveta Fumà · Cala d’Or · La Merced · Pueblo Acantilado · Venta Lanuza · El Carritxal

Urbanisations of villas, bungalows and apartment complexes along the cliffs and coves, up to the boundary with La Vila Joiosa.

TRAM: Poble Espanyol, Amerador, Cala Piteres, Coveta Fumà, Venta Lanuza, Paradís

Eleven urbanisations share one district name. Give the urbanisation and the tram stop you walk from, and we will find the street.

  6. Inland partidas

Bonny · Bonanza · the Aigües road (CV-775) · the Busot road (CV-777)

Detached houses and smallholdings on the rural partidas between the motorway and the hills.

Houses here are found by the name of the partida and the kilometre on the road. Drop a pin on WhatsApp.

Next door

The four towns next door

Four neighbouring towns are covered as well, with the same services and the same hours.

  • Mutxamel

Around 27,800 people (INE, 2024), inland of El Campello.

Shares a boundary with El Campello’s inland partidas.

  • Sant Joan d’Alacant

Around 26,800 people (INE, 2025), home of the Hospital Universitario de Sant Joan.

Joined to Muchavista by the Benimagrell road, the CV-772.

  • Busot

The hill village above El Campello, known for the Canelobre caves.

Up the CV-777 from El Vincle.

  • Aigües

A village of about 1,100 people, grown around a seventeenth-century spa.

Up the CV-775, a winding road that crosses several ravines.

Edges

Where our patch stops

Muchavista beach carries on into Playa de San Juan without a visible line, and the Carritxal cove is shared with La Vila Joiosa. Playa de San Juan, which belongs to the city of Alicante, and La Vila Joiosa are outside the area of this service. If you are not sure which side of a boundary you are on, ring and give the nearest tram stop: it will be clear in a few seconds.

Late-night arrivals at the northern stops have their own checklist in off the last tram at Coveta Fumà with no keys.
